Racing has always been a part of my life, at six months old I was at a racetrack every weekend while my dad was racing. As I got older, I was always interested in working on racecars with my dad. I was always told “Racing is not a girls sport”, hearing this just made me want to prove to people that girls could race too. Sports have always been a passion of mine growing up. I was a gymnast for 7 years, played basketball for 6 years, played volleyball for 3 years, but all of the sports came to an abrupt halt at the age of 15. I ended up having two hip surgeries within 9 months, which left me no choice other than to quit playing sports and find other hobbies. I finally had convinced my dad at the age of 21 that just because I am a girl does not mean that I can’t race and compete with the best. He then decided to let me run at a local track to get some seat time. My first year competing for points, I finished up the season 4th in points in the Raptor class at Dawgwood Speedway. I also won my first WKA National at Dumplin Valley Raceway in Kodak, Tennessee, which guaranteed my starting spot at the WKA Dirt Nationals in Daytona Beach. My first time competing in a Georgia state race, I qualified on the pole and led every lap to go on and win my first Divisional race.
