Lights On
Afterschool
Program

Eighty-seven percent of working mothers surveyed said the hours after school are when they are most concerned about their children's safety, according to a new poll conducted by Fight Crime: Invest in Kids.

On October 9th, 2003, after-school programs nationwide will participate in “Lights on Afterschool!” This is the only national celebration honoring the success and safety of after-school programs.

“Lights On Afterschool!” is a project of the Afterschool Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that all children have access to afterschool programs by 2010. Would you like to learn about a “Lights On” event in your area or host an event? Check out the link below.
