Eighty-seven percent of working mothers surveyed
said the hours after school are when they are most
concerned about their children's safety, according
to a new poll conducted by Fight Crime: Invest in
Kids.
On October 9th, 2003, after-school programs
nationwide will participate in Lights on
Afterschool! This is the only national
celebration honoring the success and safety of
after-school programs.
Lights On Afterschool! is a project
of the Afterschool Alliance, a nonprofit
organization dedicated to ensuring that all
children have access to afterschool programs by
