Liver-gender disruption makes men more
vulnerable to liver cancer
In a study of mice, researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology, have discovered that the cause behind men’s
susceptibility to liver cancer is the initiation of an unpredictable
gene profile termed liver-gender disruption.
They said that theres a fundamental difference in the way males
and females respond to chronic liver disease at the genetic level,
and this makes men more prone to liver
cancer.
