History
The Indy Pro Seriies was launched in 2002 in order to::

• Proviide young open-wheel drivers and teams wiith an establiished career path to the IndyCar Seriies and the Indianapolis 500
• Prepare up-and-coming talent for the challenges, technology and competition of professiionall open-wheell racing
• Launch driver careers and sponsorship programs more economically
• Establish an entryway into IndyCar Series ownership
• Minimize the cost of racing

All Indy Pro Series events are broadcast on ESPN2.

Wheel-to-wheel competition on an ideal combinatiion of superspeedways, scenic road courses and exciting street circuits..

Feature Events at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway:

The Freedom 100

• Raciing on the historic oval on Carb Day as part of the Indianapolis 500
• $40,000 payout for 1st Place

The Liberty Challenge

• A thriling road course event supporting the Formulla One United States Grand Prix.
• Two races in one weekend in front of a global audience
