Arrogant, courageous and at the peak of his physical prowess, a Maasai warrior of Kenya attends the Eunoto ceremony, which marks his passage from warriorhood to elderhood. The warriors exemplify the characterization of the Maasai as a brave and hardy people, and they are as revered by their own community as they are feared by their enemies. The warrior wears a headdress of ostrich feathers placed in a headed leather frame to enhance his stature.
