Her Boyfriend Stays Over on Weekends
Question: 51 year old, reader of How To Date
Young Women. She asked me out about a month ago and
we had a nice time. She is 36, but her boyfriend
stays with her overnight on weekends. I don’t
expect to get into bed with her but would go out
with her from time to time.
Meanwhile, without me asking anything, she
ex-plained that she is just like a
“mother” to her boyfriend. She
doesn’t want to hurt him but wants to break up
with him. I told her she owed me no
explanations.
Answer: She’s explaining that she
has a boyfriend and asking if that’s all right
with you? That means she wants to have sexual fun
with you! Your answer was fine. Go out with her as
soon as possible.
Question Continued: It’s impossible
to get this gal on the phone, you always get the
answering machine. Every few weeks she seems to
work third shift or something because her car is
gone during the night and then there in the
daytime.
Answer Continued: Leave her a note on
under the windshield wiper. Say, “Can’t
get you on the phone. Please call me at work
555-3333 8-5 or at home 555-4444 after 6 and before
10 pm. Jerry.
When she calls, chat very briefly then suggest
or pizza at 7-8 that night, or whenever it is okay
with you. If she’s busy, no biggie. Remember,
suggest don’t ask. Since you’ve been out
with her before this will go easily.
In general, be in charge. Be a man. Be positive.
Do not be steeled for rejection! Have a drink
before you meet her. RELAX. Don’t try
anything. Let her do it at her speed. Be slightly
interested. Not much. Don’t talk about
computing! Talk about writing your book. Don’t
brag, just be confident about what you’re
confident about.
Dress in a sweat shirt, sneakers, baggy
pants. Don’t dress up. Dress down for this
occasion. You’re so confident you’re not
trying to make an impression. Don’t suggest
another date while on this date. Read Volume 2
about phone numbers. Carry a pen and a piece of
paper. Hand her the pen and the paper and say,
“Write down your office number so I can talk
with you there.” She will.
