Take Action

Menstuff® has long advocated various actions to get advertisers to desist from advertising that maligns or shames men, writing congress or local state legislatures on bills that are good or bad for men, and challenging the news media to present more positive stories about men, fathers (at least on Father's Day), etc. Take Action features a major action that we feel is important for men to take towards making this a country that also cares about men. We will give you the situation, the call to action, and the people to contact to hopefully make something happen.

After reviewing some of these topics, we encourage you to write the corporations and the government and give them your viewpoint. Change doesn't usually take place when only one complaint is received. If you want to be part of the solution, let them hear from you! Here's how. See Take Action from 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, and 2001. See Action of the Week Responses.

ACTION OF THE WEEK

FROM THE KINKY FOLKS WHO BROUGHT US "NO BOUNDARIES"
PANTIES FOR TEEN GIRLS

Wal Mart is at it again. Their newest addition to kinky underware for the Junior Intimate market carries the message on the front of the panties "Who needs credit cards."

DETAILS ENDORSES "PASS OUT HERE" PILLOWCASES

The press release says "Unless you're stuck in your college-stoner phase, save the cannabis and naked-girl bedding for your teenage brother." Instead, buy pillowcases with 'PASS OUT HERE' emblazoned on them. This is sure to turn-on the girls. "I want to pass out on a bed that this guy wants me to pass out on." Is this an off-shoot of Necrophilia?

ALBERTSONS THINK VIOLENCE IS FUNNY

Man steals lunch from office break room frig. Woman slams him against the wall with a full-on tackle then returns to kick him in what appears to be the groin. Makes me wonder what their check-out people are like if you don't put your items on the carousel fast enough? Click on image.

NORDSTROM HEEDS CALL

Reef, famous for their beach sandals, have created a sandal for summer that includes a 3 oz flask in each sandal. In communities where kids wear sandals to school, this could be a major problem. Nordstrom pulls product.

ANHEUSER-BUSCH WANTS TO SPYKE UP YOUR LIFE

To take the edge off alcohol, A-H has introduced Spykes, a shot of 12% alcohol and malt (depressant) with lots of caffeine and guarar similar to an energy drink so you can really party. Let's get this product off the market!

WAL MART CONTINUES TO ENCOURAGE NO BOUNDARIES

Wal Mart has expanded their use of seductive names for young girl's clothing. Since 2002 they've promoted Junior Intimates (underwear) using the theme 'No Boundaries' for their Bra and Panty Sets plus "Juniors' No Boundaries Panties" in new designs, "Juniors' No Boundaries Woven Boxers" and "Ladies' Secret Treasures Boyleg Panty". For 2007 Wal-Mart is showing the "No Boundries" Hipster Panties along with the "No Boundries" Thong Panties.
